Revival Choir
At
the onset of St. Matthew’s Anglican Church (SMAC) in
1987, there was need to move in the Anglican mode of
worship as the vision of the church was to effect
revival in the Anglican Communion worldwide. Hence there
was the need to convince all that we were really
ANGLICANS. Besides, there was the need to lead the
worshipers in choral singing in the church as
worshipping God in songs brings His divine presence to
His children.
The name Revival Choir was given by the first Vicar of
the church in 1990 (the Rev. I. O. Tejevbo, now Ven. I.
O. Tejevbo). It was as a result of the ministration
during a church programme. Since then, it has become our
name and symbol.
